The Marvelettes were an American girl group who rose to fame in the 1960s. Known for hits like "Please Mr. Postman" and "Don't Mess With Bill," they were Motown's first successful female act. Their debut single was released in 1961 and they won a Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 2015.
